Rhubarb Bread

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2/3 cups oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 cups rhubarb
  • 1/4 c nuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Stir ingredients in given order through nuts, reserving sugar and butter.  Pour into two greased loaf pans and sprinkle over batter Sugar and butter mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 55-60 minutes.
