Gratitude Journal

Gratitude —> the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

There is no place I could start than with my donor and my donor family.  In 2011 I received a liver transplant from an anonymous deceased donor that gave me a second chance at life.  I take a moment everyday to pause and reflect upon this most precious gift. It has allowed me to watch my niece who graduates from high school this year and my nephew who is a freshman in high school mature from the children they were in 2011. Namaste.

As a continuation from yesterday’s entry I would be remiss in not mentioning my mother.  She dropping everything: her life, my father, her grandchildren and relocated with me to Jacksonville, Florida for a year when I was too ill to take care of myself.  If once wasn’t enough she did it a second time when I was diagnosed with cancer this time for six months. I never could have made it without her.  Thank you. Namaste.
